MeritFirst General Assessment

We are looking for the best of the best for roles across venture capital and in our portfolios of tech startups. If you are looking for a new challenge and a chance to show what you can do, take our common application test. These questions are designed to test your critical thinking, your intuitions, and your basic quantitative skills. It is split into three sections: 1) Background & Interests, 2) Puzzles & Critical Thinking, and 3) Rapid Fire Aptitude Assessment (shorter time limits). This exam can only help you -- only top results are passed along while we’re in alpha & we iterate. Throughout the test, some questions will require written answers, and others ask for audio and video responses, so please get comfortable in a quiet location before beginning, and make sure to note the format of each question. Once you hit *next*, or the time on a question runs out, you won't be able to go back. You don't need to hit "record" on any questions: the video will be running for the entirety of the test. The expectation is to finish this test in one sitting, so we recommend blocking off an hour or more. The use of search engines, LLMs, and other online resources is not allowed.
