We are looking for exceptional candidates for roles across OffDeal. If you’re ready for a challenge and want to prove you can excel in a high-pressure, deal-driven environment, take our common application test.
The assessment is designed to evaluate your analytical skills, financial intuition, communication ability, and judgment under time constraints. It is split into three sections:
Background & Interests – Your experience, motivations, and career ambitions.
Applied Finance & Deal Thinking – Case-style prompts, modeling challenges, and critical thinking scenarios relevant to IB and M&A.
The test is intended to simulate real IB work, where speed, precision, and clarity matter. Throughout the test, you’ll encounter a mix of written and audio / video questions. Please ensure you’re in a quiet location with your camera and microphone enabled before starting. Once you click next or time runs out, you cannot go back.
You don’t need to manually start recordings - video will be running for the duration of the test.
Plan to complete the test in one sitting; we recommend blocking off at least an 45-60 mins. The use of search engines, LLMs, and other online resources is not allowed.
