Strategy & Operations Case Study - Stage 1

A little about our process.. We think resumes are a poor proxy for someone's real potential. So we built this assessment to give anyone regardless of resume, school, or title, a real shot to show what they can do. If you're structured, curious, and scrappy, we want to see it. And even if not a fit for us right now (could just be location!), we have many great partner companies that you can get in front of by taking our test and filling out your candidate profile. 🎯 The Role We're hiring a Strategy & Operations Generalist. You’ll be the kind of person who thrives wearing 5 hats in a week - customer triage, metric deep dives, running experiments, internal ops cleanup, growth initiatives, and more. This is a high‑ownership role - typically relevant for folks from investment banking, private equity, consulting, biz‑ops, or other intense, ambiguous environments who now want more build + decision‑making exposure. That said, we honestly don't really care if you came from one of those fields, just what you can do in the seat, so please don't let that deter you from jumping in. 🧠 The Assessment We built this take‑home to assess what really matters: - How you frame messy problems - How you use data to make trade‑offs - How you communicate and make decisions under constraints - Whether you think like an owner, not a task‑taker We value clarity over length and want to see how you structure problems, make trade‑offs, and measure success. Assume the data is directionally correct but imperfect. Feel free to make and call out any assumptions. Some logistical items... Time Limit: You will have 2 hours from the moment you begin to submit your response (you don’t need to take the full time but we’ll cut you off at 2 hours). LLM Usage: We believe that LLMs are an important tool for analytical work. In this context however, we want to understand how you think, write, and work through a problem on your own. For this reason, please avoid using LLMs for writing, data analysis, or generating insights. Using an LLM for basic research or to gather background context is acceptable.
